What does a “positive” fibrosis risk assessment mean?

Liver fibrosis risks assessments are there to triage patients who may be at risk of liver fibrosis, and are not confirmatory diagnostic tests for liver fibrosis. If a patient is found to be high risk, the recommendations from the All-Wales Abnormal Liver Blood Tests pathway recommend referral to Hepatology outpatients department.
