Interstitial lung disease can have a devastating effect on a patient’s quality of life, and their disease progression can be rapid. Improving the quality of care for patients with ILD in the community, through symptom management, reducing the risk of comorbidities, and palliative care, can make a big difference, and this can all be facilitated by primary care teams.
