Steps 2, 3 and 4 of the All-Wales Adult Asthma Management and Prescribing Guideline focuses on the review of asthma control to suggest the need to step up therapy; poor symptom control, excessive use of reliever therapy (>3/week), exacerbations. It also focuses on factors to consider when stepping up therapy; inhaler technique, concordance, comorbidities.
