Introducing the NHS Wales Respiratory apps

Where to find the NHS Wales Respiratory Apps?

For community pharmacy teams
During the month of August 2021, community pharmacy teams across Wales are encouraged to raise awareness of the NHS Wales Respiratory Self Management Apps.
The apps have been developed in conjunction with the NHS Wales Respiratory Health Implementation Group (RHIG); a Welsh Government funded programme and collaboration of clinicians and leaders across Wales.
The apps offer easily accessible information and support to patients whenever they need it. This will improve their quality of life, empower self-management, and reduce avoidable admissions and utilisation of healthcare through proactive management of their condition.
There are 300,000 people with Asthma and COPD in Wales. Currently, only 10,000 of those are using the NHS Wales Respiratory apps. Throughout this campaign we hope to see a marked increase in people using these three apps, highlighting the important role of community pharmacy teams in delivering very brief advice.
Familiarise yourself with the features of the apps by watching the tutorials below. You will also find the very brief advice script, linked below in the resources section. Every community pharmacy in Wales will receive a toolkit containing flyers, posters, and stickers. These will be sent to your pharmacy, but you also download them below and order more by emailing support@healthhub.wales
