The Epworth Sleepiness Scale – ICST

The Epworth Sleepiness Scale

A number of screening questionnaires and clinical screening models have been developed to help identify patients with OSA. In this next presentation, Laura discusses the most common of these; the Epworth Sleepiness Score (ESS). The ESS is commonly used to identify patients who experience excessive daytime sleepiness, which is a common side effect of OSA due to the gross sleep fragmentation.
