Introducing the NHS Wales COVID recovery app, an app that supports the recovery process for all patients suffering from the effects of COVID-19. It has been developed to support, motivate and encourage physical and/or psychological progress towards recovery.
The app was developed with, and will continue to be updated by, experts in COVID rehabilitation from across each of the seven healthboards in Wales, and is aligned with the National Rehabilitation Framework (linked below) as well as the NICE guideline on managing the long-term effects of COVID-19 (also linked below).
The COVID recovery app promotes self-management and supports patients on their journey of recovery from COVID infection. It does not act as a medical tool, nor does it replace individualised medical advice. Patients are instructed to consult with their healthcare professional should they not improve as expected, or should their symptoms worsen.
Below are a host of resources for you to use to inform your patients about the app. This includes digital copies of flyers and posters for you to send, as well as templates for emails, letters and social media posts. You may also be interested in the consultation guidance for referring your patients to the app over the phone or virtually.
For regular app updates and news, please follow @HealthhubApps on Twitter and Facebook. We would be grateful if you could interact with our tweets by liking and retweeting them.
We would like to thank you for finding out more about the app on the All Wales platform. With your help we can ensure that the app is available to those who need it most.
