Goals of asthma therapy – ICST

Goals of asthma therapy

Patients with asthma should not continue to cough, wheeze, and wake up at night out of breath. We must reinforce to patients that on effective treatment they should not be symptomatic.

The goal of asthma therapy is to have no symptoms

Good asthma control is associated with little or no need for short-acting β2 agonist.
