Interpreting the FeNO test results

The Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO) greater than 40ppb suggests there is eosinophilic inflammation present in the airways, and will help support a diagnosis of Asthma in the right clinial context.

A FeNO less than 25ppb suggests there is no eosinophilic inflammation, although this does not exclude a diagnosis of asthma.
